Shortcodes

Many of the shortcodes within our site have been pre integrated into the default theme template so that you never have to see or use them. There were alot of short codes used which related to inserting the correct page structure when a person added a new “page” in wordpress. Much of the pages were filled with shortcodes at the top and bottom of the page opening and closing the page such that the proper html structure was put in place to create the desired affect of the correct padding, font sizes, text effects, page layouts and more worked correctly within the “TinyMCE” original wordpress editor.

This entire library of code that is your theme has been re-written from the ground up to support doing alot of the stuff automatically when you select to create a “new page” in wordpress. That one simple task couldn’t of been more convoluted with the site in its previous state. The only aspects of the site that should ever be developer skills only is the website theme itself. There is a specific reason for this.

Even doing the website in its previous format with shortcodes laid into the content area it was indeed easier only for a developer to use … you would think that would also mean that the HTML and structure presented on the page would be the best it could possibly be from a technical standpoint, IT WASNT.

That has now been fixed wherein the site as represented in code the homepage was 2400 lines of code which has now while achieving the same design been done in less than 1000 lines of code at about 846.

This ONE fact has made the site meaner leaner and more effective in its SEO target reach because ALOT of the noise has been removed from its signal.
